This course bridges foundational Taoist and Classical Chinese medicine concepts, used as both a framework for discussions and also for assignments, and overlays to those observation and documentation skills development (such as is used in qualitative research and internal qi gong and mindfulness practices), introduces basic research categories and methodologies, and demonstrates the "evidence base" of our Classical Chinese medicine texts while also exploring examples of modern Chinese medicine research. Class exercises and assignments will also support students to explore parallels in classical Chinese medicine health guidance and modern health research findings.

The Classical Tui Na and Traumatology class is based on the Zheng Gu Tui Na system created by Tom Bisio and Frank
Butler. This highly effective method provides tui na training in the context of protocols that are modular,
adaptable, and immediately applicable to a clinical setting. Qi Gong exercises ensure the practitioner can
accomplish the techniques with excellent connection and alignment.
